The Schofield model was designed to be operated with one hand while on horseback making it ideal for soldiers in the U.S. Cavalry. The break-open pistol’s barrel latch opens by pulling it back and has a rear sight notch incorporated into it. This 45LC model has a 5″ barrel, blued metal finish, walnut grip, and a fixed blade front sight.
