I found that these magazines were not equivalent to the Ruger 22/45 magazines. They work, but not exactly the same. Most notably, the bolt release will not operate when the empty magazine is installed. Also noticeable is the rather scratchy/rough operation of the spring and different dimensions. I found that they were slightly larger than the Ruger magazines. The magazine feeds OK, and they are less expensive than the Ruger originals. So that is a plus. They seem to be well made and if someone take the time to tune them, they will probably operate smoothly.
I have Mec-Gar magazines for other pistols, and they seem to be a better substitute for the factory magazines. But then I haven't measured them with a caliper.
