Hornady's V-Max Bullets feature a polymer tip which enhances accuracy and promotes devastating expansion. The tip raises the ballistic coefficient for faster velocity and helps to stabilize the bullet in flight. It also acts as a wedge, initiating bullet expansion. The copper jacket provides the necessary bearing surface for maximum stability out of the barrel, and the jacket is built to withstand the fast twist rates of the most advanced varmint rifles. This is not loaded ammunition.

High velocity & good for 400 yards plus - a favorite

I shoot these from 1-8 twist .243's (2) with 4000 MR and a 6mm AI with H4831 SC. Very uniform and are loaded so they almost touch the rifling. Trajectories especially with the 6mm AI are very flat with little hold over or elevation correction - like 14-16 inches at 400 when zeroed at 200. Accuracy out of 8 twist barrels is good enough for sub MOA at 300. A beautiful bullet able to produce terrific results! - good buy also.
